Louise Millar BVM&S BAJVA MRCVS
Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

Since graduating from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies with distinction in 2010, Louise has worked in a variety of mixed animal practices across Perthshire and Argyll. She has more than 15 years experience treating animals of all shapes and sizes, from hamsters to heavy horses and everything in between.

Having taken a step back from clinical practice in 2020 to focus on life as busy mum of three and, dedicated in-house Vet for her family's dairy, beef and sheep farms, she has first hand experience of the challenges facing busy pet owners, families and farms today.

With a passion for promoting the health and wellbeing of all animals, and a commitment to provide caring, quality, professional veterinary support that is accessible to all, she founded Kintyre Veterinary Services in 2023.

Led by Louise,  Kintyre Veterinary services has grown from a small veterinary supply service to a modern, comprehensive mobile healthcare service for pets, horses and farm animals all over Kintyre.

Louise enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, but has a particular passion for cardiology, ultrasonography & soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her children, dogs and horses, camping, wild swimming, cycling or out on their kayaks.
