FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER AS A CLIENT TO PLACE AN ORDER?
No, not always. For non-veterinary supplies such as feed, supplements and animals care products, you don't need to register as a veterinary client. All customers can order animal supplies by email or Whatsapp. All we need are your contact details for delivery and payment, which will we be in touch for.
For our Veterinary services including Vet visits and prescription medications, we do require client registration which involves filling out a registration form with details of your animals as well as your previous vet practice so that we can keep your animals' records up to date and share information where needed.
I AM NOT REGISTERED WITH A VET, CAN YOU BE MY FULL TIME VET?
Yes — we are happy to be your primary veterinary provider.
As a full-service mobile practice, we offer home visits, preventative healthcare, urgent care, diagnostics, hospitalisation, and a range of surgical procedures.
For some complex cases — such as advanced orthopaedic surgery or specialist treatments — we may recommend referral to a suitable bricks-and-mortar practice or specialist centre.
If this is ever needed, we’ll handle the referral process and work closely with them to ensure your animal’s care is seamless.
Our goal is to give you trusted, accessible veterinary care as close to home as possible, while ensuring you have access to the right expertise when it matters most.

DO YOU SEE SICK PETS?
Yes. We provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of illnesses and injuries in pets, horses, and livestock. Wherever possible, we assess and treat your animal during a home, yard, or farm visit to keep them comfortable and reduce stress. If more advanced facilities are required, we can transport patients to our fully equipped mobile clinic for further investigation, hospitalisation, or surgery. In some complex or specialist cases, we may recommend referral to a specialist centre or a bricks-and-mortar practice to ensure your animal receives the very best care.
DO YOU NEUTER PETS OR OFFER SURGERY?
Yes. We carry out a range of surgical procedures including neutering, lump removals, dental work, wound management, and certain types of emergency abdominal surgery. We do not currently perform orthopaedic operations, but can arrange referral to a specialist if required. Most surgeries are performed in our fully equipped clinic trailer with the support of our experienced veterinary team, ensuring safe anaesthesia, careful monitoring, and compassionate recovery for every patient.
DO YOU OFFER EMERGENCY OUT OF HOURS CARE?
Yes — we provide our own 24/7 emergency service, so you’ll always speak directly to our team. We can offer emergency diagnostics, pain relief, hospitalisation, and some emergency surgeries. If your pet is seriously unwell or injured, it may be quicker for you to bring your animal directly to our clinic to ensure they receive care as quickly as possible. While we do not perform advanced orthopaedic procedures, we will stabilise and arrange rapid referral when needed. For more information & pricing please see our Emergency care page.
DO YOU TREAT EXOTIC ANIMALS?
Yes, we offer in clinic and home visit veterinary care for rabbits, guinea pigs and other small mammals.
Unfortunately, at the moment, we are unable to offer Vet visits to other exotic species, including birds and reptiles, due to the handling and health & safety requirements for seeing these species in a mobile setting.
WHERE I CAN VIEW YOUR PRIVACY POLICY AND T&C'S?
CAN I BE REGISTERED WITH MORE THAN 1 VET?
Yes. Under RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) guidance, you are free to be registered with more than one veterinary practice, giving you the flexibility to choose the care that works best for you and your animals. Some of our clients are also registered with a bricks-and-mortar practice to access their fixed surgical and diagnostic facilities if needed, while using Kintyre Veterinary Services for our convenient mobile care and personal service. I am always happy to work alongside other local vets to ensure your animals receive the best possible treatment.
HOW DO I REGISTER AND BOOK?
Registering with us is easy — just complete our online registration form by heading to our Registration page or going to XXX to request to join our client list.
Before your registration can be confirmed, I need to request copies of your pet's previous medical history from your current vet. This is explained fully during the registration process.
Once registration is confirmed, you can book an appointment by sending a WhatsApp message to (or calling) 07850 937530. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a time that works for you.
For routine visits, please try to book in advance as my diary fills quickly — especially for evening and weekend appointments
HOW MUCH DO VISITS COST?
Our aim is to make quality veterinary care accessible, affordable and convenient. We hope you'll agree that our fees reflect this.
Visits start from only £10 for Campbeltown, Southend and the immediately surrounding areas. Visits out with Campbeltown are charged according to distance with an additional £10-50 surcharge depending on location. Visits outside our normal hours or in an emergency are subject to a further surcharge. For specific pricing to your home or yard please see our Pricing page.
HOW DO I PAY?
Invoices are usually emailed within 48 hours of your appointment, and payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in advance. I accept payment by BACS, or by cash/cheque with prior arrangement.
For planned surgeries, I can offer payment plans if arranged in advance, and I’m happy to assist with insurance claims.
Late payment terms: unless otherwise agreed, payments not received within 14 days of the invoice date may incur late fees and could result in services being suspended until the account is settled.
